About Us
Guide Hill Station sits in the heart of Te Manahuna – the Mackenzie Basin – a landscape of wide skies, golden tussock, and distant mountains. Once a traditional high-country station, it has been reimagined as a place where comfort, care, and conservation meet. Our focus is on restoring the drylands, protecting native species like the kāki, and ensuring this remarkable landscape continues to thrive for generations to come.
Here, good design and deep respect for the land work side by side. The lodges, café, chapel, and nature centre all reflect a simple philosophy: that living well can also mean living lightly. Guide Hill remains a working high-country sheep farm — a place shaped by nature, guided by care, and shared with those who value its wild beauty.
